Priorities...

pri·or·i·tynoun
plural noun: priorities
  1. a thing that is regarded as more important than another.
"housework didn't figure high on her list of priorities"

What are your priorities?

Family? Work? Pay the Bills (Kind of a combo of the first two...), maybe "You" are your priority...

To truly have a successful life, and I don't mean the Billionaire successful life, I mean a life that has a point/goal/purpose/value and will lead you into heaven, to truly do this, God and the things of God must be priorities in your life.

If you don't put God first and foremost in your life, everything else is set up for failure
"31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
- Matthew 6:31-34

Many people like to envision God as a priority because they come to church on Sundays...sometimes...and that's not a bad thing, but if that's the only time you are spending with God...you are leaving a huge void in your life. If the only time you worship is on Sunday mornings, you aren't getting enough worship. We need to be putting God first in our everyday life. We need to be praying to God, talking with Him, finding out His will for our lives, spend time in His word and learn about his Glory, we need to spend time in the local church to grow spiritually, to help serve, and to contribute to the overall mission of spreading the Gospel.

If you aren't making these things priorities in your life, you are leaving a lot of room for things to go wrong and for the wrong things to become priorities. The longer you allow the wrong things to be the priorities of your life, the harder it is to break away from them and the more destruction they can bring.

Love God and seek after Him, He will direct your paths.

This doesn't mean you are going to live a life of butterflies and rainbows...there will be hard times, but if you put God first in your life, when those hard times come, you'll have a faithful God to lean on.

Blessings,
Ryan
